Michael Brissenden is an acclaimed Australian journalist and author with a career spanning over 35 years at the ABC, covering national politics and global affairs. He’s worked as a foreign correspondent, reported for Four Corners, and was Political Editor for The 7:30 Report.

Michael has written extensively and is the author of American Stories—a powerful account of the social and political tensions  that shaped Obama’s presidency. He’s also the author of a gripping series of thrillers featuring federal investigator Sidney Allen, including The List, Dead Letters, Smoke and his 2025 release, Dust.
