The Perfect Plate competition's ambassadors, celebrity chefs Matt Moran and Courtney Roulston as well as NRL legend Nathan Hindmarsh were in attendance at the awards. The trio visited more than 60 participating clubs to meet the competing chefs and taste their creations.
Moran, who runs top restaurants Chiswick and Aria, said the Chinese dishes he sampled at The Epping Club, which took out the gong for the Northern Metropolitan regions, were among the best he'd had.
