Over two vibrant nights, more than 200 guests gathered at The Epping Club’s new signature restaurant Miss Yuè to celebrate Lunar New Year with a sold-out dining event that delivered tradition, flavour and festive spirit in equal measure. Since opening in late 2024, Miss Yuè has quickly become a local favourite, known for its elegant setting and outstanding modern Chinese cuisine. Its first Lunar New Year celebration proved an instant success, with diners treated to a specially curated banquet honouring the rich traditions of the occasion.
The Lunar New Year meal holds deep cultural significance—it's a moment for family reunion, ancestral remembrance and the sharing of symbolic dishes believed to bring prosperity, good fortune and happiness for the year ahead. The menu at Miss Yuè was thoughtfully crafted to honour the traditions and symbolism that make Lunar New Year such a meaningful celebration, with dishes such as whole fish representing abundance and dumplings symbolising wealth.
Adding to the excitement, a traditional lion dance was performed with a dramatic display through the restaurant. The lion dance is a time-honoured Lunar New Year ritual believed to ward off evil spirits and attract luck and happiness for the coming year.
CEO Peter Saez said the sell-out response was a sign of how strongly the community has embraced the Club’s newest dining offering.
“It’s exciting to see the community embrace our new restaurant. Sensational food in the suburbs is what people are seeking - and we are so proud to meet this demand. Happy Chinese New Year to all our members and guests.”
More than just a meal, the event was a chance for families and friends to come together in a space that honours cultural traditions and modern hospitality. Guests raised their glasses in hopeful toasts, shared meaningful dishes and welcomed the New Year with warmth, style and togetherness.
With glowing feedback and a festive atmosphere that won’t soon be forgotten, Miss Yuè’s Lunar New Year celebration is set to become a new tradition at The Epping Club.
