Scrabble Tournament with Scrabble NSW

Whether you play socially for fun, or are a ranked player ready for serious competition, this tournament is designed to welcome everyone who loves the game. New players are warmly encouraged to join the Social Division, a friendly celebration of Scrabble where enjoyment, wordplay and great company come first. More experienced and ranked players can test their skills in the Competitive Tournament, playing under official conditions for a share of the prize pool.

Following the success of our earlier collaborations with Scrabble NSW, the Epping Club is proud to host another all-ages Scrabble Tournament, bringing together players of all levels for a full day of strategic play, friendly rivalry and word-powered fun.

Early Bird tickets must be purchased before 1 April to secure the discounted rate. Please see information about the format and qualifying details below.

Places are limited. Early booking is recommended.

Tournament Format

The event is divided into two sections to suit different experience levels.

Competitive Section
Designed for players experienced in tournament play.

• 8 games, 22 minutes per player
• Minimum 2 divisions depending on final numbers
• CSW24 dictionary
• Full Scrabble NSW membership required

Social Section
Perfect for players or those who prefer a relaxed, recreational format with competitive spirit!

• 6 untimed games
• List of 2-letter words provided during gameplay
• CSW24 dictionary

Prizes

• $1,000 total prize pool
• Cash prizes awarded across both sections

Important Information

• Event commences at 9:00am
• Approximate finish time 5:30pm
• Youth players under 16 must have a minimum rating of 800 to compete in the competitive section
• Entry fee applies to both sections
• Tickets must be purchased via our website - this event will sell out, walk ins cannot be accommodated
