Think you've got the word power to win big? Join our all-ages Scrabble Tournament and battle it out for your share of the $1,000 prize pool! Whether you're a seasoned pro or family game night champ (there's two divisions), it's your time to shine. Spots are limited, register now and spell your way to victory! This is an all ages, all abilities tournament but is not a learn to play event.

Scrabble Competition Rules

• Format: All games will be played one-on-one (two players per board).
• Ruleset: Australian Competition Rules with NSW Variations
• Social Division:
 – Players will be provided with a list of allowable two-letter words for reference.
• Competitive Divisions (2 divisions):
 – Standard competition rules apply with no additional aids.
 – A prize will be awarded to the highest-finishing new player to encourage first-time competitors.

Scrabble Competition Prize Structure

Competitive Division A
• 1st Place: $120 cash
• 2nd Place: $75*
• 3rd Place: $50*
• Highest Game Score: $40
• Highest Word Score: $25

Competitive Division B
• 1st Place: $120 cash
• 2nd Place: $75*
• 3rd Place: $50*
• Highest Game Score: $40
• Highest Word Score: $25
• Highest Finishing New Player: Prize awarded to top-performing first-time entrant $40

Social Division
• 1st Place: $100 cash
• 2nd Place: $75*
• 3rd Place: $50*
• Highest Game Score: $40
• Highest Word Score: $25
• Most Unusual Word: Prize awarded for most distinctive valid word $25
• Novelty Prizes awarded at the end of each round.
