The Epping Club’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea Raises the Cup for Cancer Council
Sold-Out Event Welcomes 300 Guests in Support of a Worthy Cause
Thursday 22 May 2025 – Epping, NSW:
This Thursday, The Epping Club will once again prove itself as the heart of the community, proudly hosting a sold-out crowd of over 300 guests for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council.
Now in its 31st year, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea helps raise life-saving funds for the almost one in two Australians impacted by cancer. The annual event has become a highlight on the Club’s calendar, uniting the local community in a morning of connection, compassion and action.
Popular Epping Club Special Event MC, Book Club host and Customer Experience Manager Sharron Fielding will take to the stage to share her personal cancer journey, adding heartfelt meaning to the occasion. Also joining the morning’s festivities is special guest Wendy Harmer, renowned media personality and advocate, offering warmth, humour and inspiration to the sold-out room.
Thanks to the generosity of participants nationwide, last year’s Morning Tea events helped Cancer Council:
• Provide over 38,000 Australians with emotional and practical support via the 13 11 20 Information and Support service.
• Deliver over 102,000 subsidised nights of accommodation for patients undergoing treatment.
• Transport more than 32,000 patients and carers to treatment.
• Offer nearly $2 million in free legal and financial support to those affected by cancer.
• Distribute over 727,000 free information booklets to help Australians better understand cancer.
CEO Peter Saez shared his pride in the Club’s commitment to their locale, stating:
“We are proud of our community and all we do. This is another example of The Epping Club providing people a way to come together, celebrate community and raise funds for a cause that touches so many lives.”
The Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is yet another example of how Clubs in NSW continues to unite people for good — through care, community and action.
